MCRx Data Verification Pipeline & Accuracy Standards

In the UK medical cannabis sector, patient safety and clinical decision-making depend on absolute data accuracy. To support both patients and healthcare providers, MCRx implements a robust, multi-level verification framework for all directories, strains, and clinic profiles.

Our goal is to build a solid foundation of traceable, factual data while avoiding the inaccuracies and placeholders that often populate unofficial lists.

The Five Levels of Verification

To maintain clear terminology and professional standards, every strain profile and data record on MCRx is designated with one of five distinct verification levels:

[Unverified] ➔ [Patient Verified] (2+ Patients)
              ➔ [MCRx Verified] (Admin Approved)
              ➔ [Clinic Verified] (Clinic Submitted)
              ➔ [Grower Verified] (Grower/Distributor Submitted)

1. Unverified Profile

Every strain or clinic record initially added to the directory begins as Unverified. This represents raw data that has not yet been audited or cross-referenced.

  • Unverified profiles are clearly labeled to alert users that the specifications are subject to audit.

2. Patient Verified

When a patient logs into their secure MCRx account and verifies or updates a strain’s specifications (such as THC/CBD content, terpene profile, or breeder details), the system logs a validation entry.

  • Once two unique, registered patients submit verification for the same profile, the strain is automatically promoted to Patient Verified.
  • Patients cannot overwrite clinic-verified, grower-verified, or MCRx-verified data.

3. Clinic Verified

When a registered clinic logs in and manages their own profile or edits associated strain profiles, those changes are immediately designated as Clinic Verified.

  • This level guarantees that the data reflects the official clinical stock and pricing guidelines.
  • Growers/distributors cannot edit clinic details, securing the integrity of clinical profiles.

4. Grower Verified

When a grower, manufacturer, or licensed distributor user submits details for their strains, the system saves the record as Grower Verified.

  • This enables growers to accurately represent their product specs (breeder lineage, exact cannabinoid thresholds, and terpene concentrations) directly to patients.

5. MCRx Verified

Profiles audited manually by MCRx administrators are labeled MCRx Verified.

  • Admin verification requires cross-referencing specifications with official Certificates of Analysis (COAs) and manufacturer releases.
  • If a verified COA link is not available, the lab report URL remains set to null to prevent the use of mock or draft placeholders.

Our Zero-Hallucination Compliance Policy

MCRx adheres to a strict compliance model to ensure data integrity:

  1. No Mock or Placeholder Data: We never seed fake PDF links or draft documents for lab reports or certificates. If a certificate is not verified, it remains null.
  2. Official Sourcing Only: Every strain and grower profile must point to verified manufacturer pages. We do not copy competitor wikis or community database sites.
  3. Clear Professional Terminology: We present unverified records transparently as “Unverified Profile” to maintain patient trust and clinical clarity.

By giving growers, clinics, and patients specific roles in keeping data accurate, we work together to maintain the most trustworthy medical cannabis directory in the UK.

Standardized Photographic Evidence

To maintain compliance and visual consistency across our patient galleries, MCRx has published a standardized review backdrop.

Reviewers are strongly encouraged to print this guide and use the embedded visual backdrop when photographing prescription packaging and botanical labels to help prevent compliance rejections.
